SUBJECT: Red Hill March News

Welcome to the March edition of the Rocket Rundown! This month is a busy one, with parent-teacher conferences, spring break, and our annual adult fundraiser on the calendar to name a few. We’ve also included important save-the-date reminders for April as we head into the final stretch of the school year. Be sure to check out all the updates so you don’t miss anything coming up at Red Hill!

March Updates
Family Book-Nic March 5

Join us for Family Book-Nic—a special lunchtime reading picnic. Bring a book and an optional lunch to enjoy with your student(s) during their scheduled lunch period. Students can also get lunch from the cafeteria. 

Please note: Playgrounds will be closed as this is a quiet reading time.

Bring a blanket or beach chairs for seating on the grass. If you can’t attend, let your child’s teacher know so we can pair them with a buddy.

Lunch Times:

  • TK, Kinder, 1st & 2nd: 12:00–12:45 PM (Gates open at 12:00)
  • 3rd–5th: 12:20–1:05 PM (Gates reopen at 12:20)
🌴 Kona Ice is Coming to Red Hill! 🍧

Bring the whole family for an after school treat at the Kona Ice Truck! A portion of all sales goes to Red Hill PTA. The truck will be in the Red Hill parking lot after school Wednesday, March 12 from 12:45-2:30PM. Card, cash, Apple/Google Pay accepted. 

🎭 Red Hill Variety Show Auditions 🎭

2025 Variety Show Auditions will take place March 25-27 after school.

✨ Take a Risk & Share Your Talent! ✨From singing and dancing to magic tricks and comedy, we welcome all acts to showcase their skills. Best of all—everyone who auditions will make the show!

🎤 Calling All 5th Graders! We need enthusiastic students to Emcee and help run the event.

The Variety Show is Friday, May 2 at 4PM. Stay tuned—more details and the sign-up link are coming soon.

Dinner Night Out March 26-28

From March 26 to March 28, dine at Lazy Dog in Irvine and help raise funds for our school. Simply show this flyer or enter the coupon code 01Irvine when ordering online, and 15% of your total bill will be donated back to Red Hill.

Adult Fundraiser March 29

Join us for our Annual Adult Fundraiser on Saturday, March 29 at 5:00 PM at The Hill (Tustin Hills Racquet Club - 11782 Simon Ranch Rd, Santa Ana, CA). This is our biggest fundraising event of the year, with all proceeds going directly to programs for our students. Here's how you can support:

  • Purchase tickets, raffle entries, drink tickets, and event sponsorships via the Adult Fundraiser Store.
  • Donate an auction item – Popular items include sports and concert tickets, beauty services, vacation rentals, Disney tickets, and gift cards. Email donations@redhillpta.org if you have anything to contribute.
  • Business donations – Businesses and community members can make cash donations through our Donation Form.

Birthday Book Club

Support the Red Hill Library and donate a book in your child’s name for his/her birthday. The cost is $25 and all proceeds go directly to supporting our library. Each student will celebrate during their birthday week in the library and take home a goodie bag. Summer birthdays will be celebrated on their half birthday.
